Innovas Technologies has announced that it will be presenting at the IDEA CampusEnergy2025 conference and trade show, taking place from February 3-6, 2025, at the Westin Boston Seaport District Hotel. This year, we are especially excited to highlight the expertise of Michael Crocker, Innovas Technologies’ Vice President, who will be a featured panelist during the preconference workshop titled “Boots On The Ground – What Direction Are You Taking?”
Panel Discussion Spotlight
Date and Time: Monday, February 3, 2025 | 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM
Location: IDEA CampusEnergy The Westin Boston Seaport District Hotel, Harbor Ballroom III
Michael Crocker will join a panel alongside Eric Steinour from Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) and Darrin Smith from Duke University. Together, they will share insights and lessons learned from the successful installation and operation of the Helios® Tube Cleaning System (TCS) at Duke University.
This panel is part of the workshop’s broader exploration of actionable strategies for optimizing campus utilities. Attendees will gain a unique behind-the-scenes look at how cutting-edge technologies like the Helios can significantly improve energy efficiency, reduce maintenance, and support campus sustainability goals.
A Closer Look at the Duke University Project
The Duke University installation of the Helios ATCS is a standout example of how innovation and collaboration can achieve remarkable results. Innovas partnered with AEI Engineering and Duke University to implement this advanced system within the university’s district cooling plant. Key outcomes include:
- Energy Savings: Nearly 7 million kWh of electricity saved annually.
- Cost Efficiency: Over $480,000 in annual energy savings, with a project payback of just 2.5 years.
- Operational Impact: Approximately 500 labor hours eliminated each year thanks to reduced manual tube cleaning.
