University of Texas, Austin Expands Triton Debris Strainer Installation at Central Plant
Innovas Technologies is proud to share a project update highlighting the continued deployment of Triton® Debris Strainers at the University of Texas at Austin central plant.
As part of an ongoing effort to improve debris management and protect critical cooling infrastructure, the University of Texas has added additional Triton Debris Strainers, bringing the total number of strainers in operation across the plant to multiple units. This expansion reflects a proactive, system-wide approach to minimizing fouling risk, safeguarding heat transfer equipment, and maintaining reliable plant performance.
The Triton Debris Strainers are designed to capture debris, scale, and system contaminants before they reach sensitive equipment such as chillers, heat exchangers, and control valves. By deploying multiple strainers throughout the plant, UT is improving redundancy and ensuring debris control at key points in the system.

The University of Texas has expanded Triton® Debris Strainers across its central plant as part of a system-wide approach to minimize fouling risk, safeguard heat transfer equipment, and maintain reliable plant performance.
This latest addition builds on UT’s long-term focus on operational efficiency, maintainability, and asset protection within its central plant infrastructure. Innovas Technologies is proud to continue supporting the University of Texas with proven debris management solutions that align with the demands of large, mission-critical campus energy systems.
Project Highlights:
• Expanded deployment of Triton® Debris Strainers
• Multiple strainers now operating within the central plant
• Enhanced debris capture to protect downstream equipment
• Supports long-term reliability and maintenance efficiency
Innovas Technologies looks forward to continuing its partnership with the University of Texas as the campus advances its central plant performance and resilience.
